UCLA Engineering Faculty and Students Present Research at Annual Broadcom Technical Conference

Broadcom Corporation, a global innovation leader in semiconductor solutions for wired and wireless communications, held its annual Technical Conference last month at which top engineers from Broadcom offices around the globe shared ideas and explored innovations in wired and wireless communications.

Broadcom invited students and their professors from universities receiving unrestricted research grants from the Broadcom Foundation to present their work in a poster session during the opening reception.  Rick Wesel and Babak Daneshrad, professors of electrical engineering at the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, and Ph.D. candidates Tsung-Yi Chen, Chung-Yu Lou, Chao-Yi Wang, and Eren Eraslan were among the participants.  Wesel and Chen presented research on “A Sphere-Packing Analysis of Incremental Redundancy with Feedback,” while Lou, Wang, Eraslan, and Daneshrad presented, “Self-Adaptive MIMO Radio.”
