Jamie Harlan graduated from the UCLA Civil and Environmental Engineering program in 2009. While attending UCLA Engineering, Harlan was heavily involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as a member of the Executive Board and a Concrete Canoe Director, racing captain, and senior advisor. In 2008, Harlan helped found the UCLA chapter of the club now known as CalGeo with Ahmadreza Mortezaie.
After graduating, Harlan helped organize the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Alumni Tailgate since it began in 2011 and took over for Pat Ho in 2014. The CEE Alumni Tailgate has been growing every year and bringing alumni, family, friends, and current students together. The 5th Annual CEE Alumni Tailgate had 169 attendees and is one of the best attended events for the CEE group.
Harlan is currently Co-Chairing the EAA Student Projects Committee with Brooke Crowe.
Professionally, Harlan is a Registered Professional Engineer working at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants in the water resources field. She is also Construction General Permit Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) and Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) certified.
