For Parents

Welcome to the Bruin family!

Our goal is to help UCLA Engineering families have a meaningful and positive transitional and educational experience. Further, we value our relationship with the parents and view it as a partnership.

This page offers some important resources to help you become more acquainted with the university and the school. We hope you find it beneficial.

Come see us:

UCLA Parents Weekend is usually scheduled in the fall. Visit your son or daughter on campus. There is a variety of faculty presentations, so parents get a glimpse of the cutting-edge work at UCLA.

Stay Informed:alumni05

The best ways to stay informed about UCLA Engineering is through our Web site, the Dean’s monthly E-Bulletin, and our biannual magazine, UCLA Engineer.

On the university’s Parents and Families page, you’ll find information about living on campus, health and safety programs, and money matters, as well as a calendar of events, parent/student resources, and links to campus news sources like the Daily Bruin and the BruinLink Parent Newsletter.

Stay Connected:

UCLA has a UCLA Parent & Family Association Facebook page which offers parent-to-parent interaction with the added bonus of continual parent and family updates regarding dates and deadlines, campus resources, and upcoming events. Additionally, the page offers campus information, photos, special-interest groups and a discussion board. Search “UCLA Parents” on Facebook to view and “fan” the page.

There is also a Parent Helpline: (310) 794-6737 or MyBruinIs@ucla.edu
